Known Hardware Issue: DMA transfers on some newer PCs.

It appears that the Intel 810 chipset does not support some aspect of 8-bit DMA required by the DAS-1200/1400/1600 or DAS-16 series of boards.

Polled or Interrupt mode acquisitions work well, but DMA operations return too fast, not at all, repeated data (buffer not updated) or with invalid data.

We have seen this on some Dell GX100 and some Compaq EP computers. The Intel 440BX chipset , also used in newer computers, has been found to fully support 8-bit DMA transfers with these boards.

Download and run the PCISniff tool from the 'software diagnostics' to determine what chipset your computer is using.
